Best Jello Cookies

TOP Reviews:

This is a family favorite. We do it for Christmas every year in Cherry and Lime. If you’re a Jello fan, do yourself a favor and use the big (6 oz) box of Jello. The flavor is much more pronounced and you won’t have to add any extra flavoring. My recipe says to leave some of the Jello out and dip the bottom of a flat glass and press the cookies flat (also adding more flavor) and cook them at 400d both of which might account for the timing of the bake as mentioned in other reviews.

These were really fun and easy to make with my two year old. She was so excited to see the dough turn blue, and then couldn’t wait to eat them. We used Berry Blue jello. When I added the vanilla it did turn the colour to be more of a pale aqua, but she still like them. If I had white vanilla I would use that instead. I didn’t really care for the taste, but I am pregnant and suffering from morning sickness! They did look really cute, I am sure we will make them again and again with all the other jello flavours. I think they will be a good holiday cookie; Easter, Valentine’s, St. Paddy’s, etc.

I made these a couple weeks ago.I made the Berry ones and they turned out green colored.I’m thinking the butter must have turned them a diffrent color lol. They were indeed fruity and vibrant. Will defently make again. Thanks for the recipe.

These were great! What a wonderful idea! I made 3 batches over the weekend to give as little gifts and for the kids to have for snacks. They just loved them. I am definitley going to make them again. I think it was a little hot in the kitchen so I had to put them in the fridge for about 10 minutes before I could roll them.I made these for my students’ recital tomorrow. I took Chef 903399’s advice and added the packet of Kool Aid and made my 1/2 cup of sugar heaping. Mine were very tart. I might even add more sugar next time. I made Cherry/Fruit Punch ones and Lemon/Lemonade ones. I rolled them in sugar and used a glass with a pretty design on the bottom to flatten them. They turned out very nice. I’m sure my piano students will like them. Thanks!

These were fantastic. I used black cherry jello and almond extract. I rolled them in a mixture of sugar and just a pinch of the same jello flavor and added a marschino cherry on top before baking. 8 min and they were heaven with a strong cherry flavor.

Ohh jello cookies!!! There so fun and bright and cheery..and quite easy to make.
