Hawaiian sandwich spread is something my grandparents loved to make on Saturday afternoons.
The other day I got a phone call from my dad. He told me that lately, mom has been making some very different recipes. I asked him if they tasted good and he said that they were amazing! I kind of chuckled and asked him what the problem was then. He told me there wasn’t a problem and then proceeded to go into detail about the Hawaiian sandwich spread he found in his work lunchbox. My dad said he decided to investigate where all these new recipes were coming from and hopped on mom’s computer. Apparently, she is a moderator of a ladies recipe Facebook group!
Mom? On Facebook? Who knew! Anyway, it appears mom got this Hawaiian sandwich spread recipe from a group called “Melady Cooks”. The owner of the group is a lady named Audrey and she has her own website filled with yummy recipes. Check her out!

I’ll admit, I am normally not a big fan of sandwich spreads. However, that all changed when I came across Audrey’s Hawaiian sandwich spread. Talk about a mouthful of yum!
Check out what my pal Audrey from the Melady Cooks food blog had to say about this recipe:
Leftover ham is always welcome in my castle. It’s so versatile in both hot and cold dishes that it isn’t leftover for long. It simply depends on my mood at the time. This day I envisioned the ham in a spread on a Kaiser bun for lunch. I’d just cut up a fresh pineapple and it was a nice sweet and tart one. I also had fresh baby spinach on hand that would complete my sandwich.
Sounds absolutely delicious to me, Audrey!
