Yum! This yellow cake gets a rich dark-chocolate frosting with a touch of tang thanks to sour cream.

This creation is a beautiful, moist yellow cake with a thick, rich dark-chocolate icing made with sour cream. It has just a slight tang that is absolutely unique and scrumptious!

It has many layers and does take a little work but it is a cake that is wholly worth it! It makes twelve to sixteen servings and requires three nine inch diameter cake pans with two inch sides. You cut the layers yourself for the ultimate in “homemade” and it is suggested you use a long serrated knife because it not only makes it easier but the end result is a more beautiful!
