➜ The online community is in love with apple cider vinegar (ACV), and it’s become hugely popular with athletes. Lots of runners like taking a shot of ACV before a run because it’s touted as a muscle cramp preventer and an inflammation fighter. While these benefits haven’t been proven by science, there is evidence that ACV does help prevent spikes in blood glucose. And studies have found that cinnamon helps fight inflammation, making this an awesome pre- or post-run drink.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup coconut water
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 large apple, cored and chopped
- 3/4 cup ice
Directions :
- In a blender, combine coconut water, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, yogurt, cinnamon, apple, and ice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve in 2 tall glasses.
