Being a good cook is far more than just knowing how to follow the directions in a recipe or even having a skill for combining foods together that taste good so that you have a delectable meal that’s healthy, appetizing and satisfying. In fact, it’s also about more than both taste and health consciousness, and requires an in-depth knowledge of food safety, including both how to safely prepare food and knowing what foods should never be consumed because they can sicken or kill you.
We thought we knew a lot of about this; for example, everyone knows not to eat raw meat, right? However, we recently came across a list that really opened our eyes and compelled us to take a long, hard look at some of the foods we eat practically every day. For example, tomatoes are both delicious and good for you, right? Well, not if you eat the leaves or stems!
We were really surprised by some of the foods on this list, but we’re glad we’re aware of these potentially dangerous foods now! Some of them if you eat certain parts can kill you.
