I had a rough weekend. I had 3 ideas for recipes and none really turned out. I had this idea for a Hawaiian Kielbasa. It was based on my Hawaiian Hot Dogs With Mango Ketchup It would have been ok had I not left on the grill too long. Sort of burned the bacon. Plus I think needs something, like a teriyaki. That recipe just needs tweaked and not burned.
Next up, Boozy Margarita Popcorn. I want the tequila to stay on the popcorn. Popcorn can not be soaked in it or goes mush. If I cook the margarita to a glaze, the alcohol burns off. It still a work in progress.
Last, this casserole idea I had. Let’s just say it wasn’t bad. However, it wasn’t good either. That is just scraped, I won’t even tell what it consisted of, it just wasn’t worth trying.
The kielbasa I was trying to create a video for. The other recipes, I was trying to add to my stash of recipes. That is where this Mushroom and Onion Smothered Cube Steak came into play. It was from my stash of recipes.
The good thing about this smothered cube steak, yes I took the photo awhile ago, but I got to re-edit them. What re-edit? I used what I learned in photo editing class and re-edit it. Then I compared the edits to what I originally did awhile ago to the new edits I just did.
I am very proud of myself. I saw the difference. So, as you know I like to better myself all the time. In a few short months, I see a huge improvement in photography since I taken these classes.
Now my next step in improvement will be video. That will come in time just like the photos. Like photos, I need to start with lighting. I feel my videos are too dark and need to just pop. Lighting will help with that.
