A giant bowl of strawberry and whipped cream goodness!
Seriously, folks, that’s an understatement. This dessert is large and in charge! It contains strawberries, pudding, cake, and whipped cream. All of these ingredients are layered on top of each other in a classic see-through punch bowl. The end result looks more like art than something you eat. Edible art? I think so! My mother used to make a dessert just like this when I was a little girl. We all loved it.
When my mom would make her layered strawberry punch bowl dessert she would call it a “strawberry hurricane”. I found this to be the perfect name for such a blizzard of yumminess.

The best thing about this yummy dessert is how gorgeous it looks in the punch bowl. As you know, most punch bowls are glass and transparent. When you make a dessert like this and place it into the punch bowl you can see every beautiful layer. These layers look especially lovely when making a strawberry dessert. I love to garnish my strawberry punch bowl dessert with whole or sliced berries.
