Homemade Hot Chocolate
1 12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp. salt
Combine your three ingredients in a large bowl and stir to combine.
Heat the bowl in the microwave for 30 second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.
Cover the chocolate mixture with plastic wrap. Put the chocolate in the fridge for two hours.
Once hardened, scoop out the chocolate mixture into balls. Wrap each ball in plastic wrap and store them in the fridge.
To make a cup of hot cocoa, put one chocolate ball in a mug of milk and heating in increments until the drink is warm, mixed and smooth.
The chocolate balls will keep in the fridge for up to five days and in the freezer for two months! That’s a whole lot of hot chocolate for your drinking pleasure.
When you’re ready to make a mug of cocoa, it should only take about two minutes to make a fully combined mug, and we’re sure it’ll be the smoothest, creamiest drink you’ve ever had!
