It’s a classic recipe which everyone loves!! It’s crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and exploding with flavor
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless
- salt and pepper as per taste
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Directions:
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Then lightly oil a baking dish or coat with nonstick spray.
To make the sauce, whisk together sugar, vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce and garlic powder in a large bowl and leave it aside.
Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste in a large bowl. Stir in the cornstarch and gently toss to combine.
Step 2
One after the other, dip the chicken into the eggs. Then heat vegetable oil in a large saucepan, add chicken and cook for about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
Place into the oven and bake until the sauce has thickened, about 55 minutes, turning over every 15 minutes to evenly coat the chicken.
