Ingredients:
For the Cheesecake:
- Two 8-ounce packages of cream cheese, at room temperature
 - 2/3 cup granulated white sugar
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 2 large eggs
 - 1/3 cup sour cream
 - 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
 
For the Chocolate Chip Cake:
- One 15.25-ounce box of white cake mix
 - 1 1/4 cups water
 - 1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
 - 3 large egg whites
 - 1 cup miniature chocolate chips
 
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted to remove lumps
 - Two 8-ounce packages of cream cheese, at room temperature
 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
 
Additional:
- Extra miniature chocolate chips, for garnish
